Sunday

Why are they allowed to call it Sunday when this time of year the Sun is conspicuously absent? I propose a National law declaring the first day of the week, Weatherday.

Come to think of it then, what the heck is a mon and why does it have a day? Ack!!! Guess I better take this one day at a time.

snow already in the Cascades

The weather here in the lower Columbia valley is cold, rainy, and killin' my back and fingers. Snow is falling in the Cascades nearby, down to the 3,000 foot level already. A fella up near Carson in the Gifford Pinchot was shot dead while out gathering bear grass this week; they don't know yet if it was an accident (elk hunting season just started) or murder. There's more cold than temperature up in those mountains.
